How my insomnia resulted in these beautiful photos.
As a result from travelling so often for work, I live in a constant state of jet lag. Contrary to what some people believe, you don't get immune from jet lag, you just learn how to deal with it better.
One thing I do is take things slowly and as they come. I try not to commit to any social activities at least for one day after I return from a trip, preferably two. I take it as it comes since there's nothing really you can do about it.
Not worrying about when or if I will be able to sleep, worrying about sleep is the best way not to sleep. I simply go to bed and if I sleep I do and if I don't well, I just stay in bed and try to relax.
A few months ago I had a particularly bad case of jet lag. I woke up around 05:00 AM every morning for more that a week. So I decided to go on a morning photo safari, snap my hometown Amsterdam and my adopted home town Munich as they were waking up.
