Mais Amor Por Favor (More Love Please)

Mais Amor Por Favor (More Love Please)

It was during the hottest part of the day on May 30, 2011 when my partner, myself and two of my colleagues went for a nice long walk in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. Not just any kind walk but uphill all the way. Now you must know that I'm not a big fan of walking in particularly in hot weather and uphill.

The reason for this walk was to see the city in a relaxed way and enjoy the weather. But the main reason why my partner and I joined was the promise of this really nice restaurant somewhere.

As the day progressed, we reached higher and higher heights and I got more sweaty that I cared for, there was still no restaurant in sight. That is to say, of course, there were plenty, just not the one that we were on our way to dine at.

Anyway, the story is not about the restaurant, rather about how the image for my first folding card in the shop came to be.

On our way, basically just before we were starting to move more up than forward, we reached the well known Lapa neighbourhood and found ourselves at the bottom of the famous Escadaria Selarón (Seleron Steps).

This is where I found the posters on the wall whose message I totally agreed with: Mas Amor Por Favor; More Love Please.

I took a photo of the postered up wall with the idea to isolate the message to use as a positive message, because I think everybody can use a bit more love every now and then.
